If a merchant wins a chargeback dispute, how long until they get their money back?

If a Merchant challenges a chargeback, it can take 30-45 days for the credit card company or the issuing bank to return a decision on the dispute. If the decision is in the Merchant’s favor, the funds will be returned to the Merchant’s WePay account and the state of the original transaction will update from “charged back” to “captured.” Associated fees will be extracted again.

WePay will notify the Merchant when they have won a chargeback, and they will be able to withdraw the total amount of the chargeback regardless of any other reserves they may have on their account.
